Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 25 March

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 25 March 2023:

Our first sighting of today happened to be the Bronze whaler sharks which stayed around the shark cage diving vessels. After some time with these, we continued into a bit deeper water where we encountered different species of birds such as several Storm Petrels, Cape Gannets, and the Greater Crested Tern. Moving on to Shark Alley, we paid the Cape fur seals a visit. Heading around Dyer Island we also got a closer look at our African Penguins. After these amazing sightings, we went back to Kleinbaai harbour.
