Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 25 September 2025:
Another beautiful day out at sea with Marine Dynamics! Some of our tours launched from Gansbaai Harbour due to low water in our bay, but that didn’t stop us from setting off on another incredible Marine Big 5 adventure. Not long into the trip, we encountered a gentle giant of the ocean, the magnificent Southern Right Whale, giving our guests a truly memorable experience. We cruised along the coastline and stopped by the shark cage diving vessels, though things were a little quiet on the shark front today. From there, we continued our journey towards Dyer Island and the nearby Geyser Rock, home to the forever-charismatic Cape Fur Seals. Guests also got a glimpse of the endangered African Penguins, adding a special touch to the trip.
