Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 28 February

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 28 February 2023:

Today was overcast with a light drizzle during our tour. After a cruise along the coast, we stopped at the shark cage diving boats to see the Bronze whaler sharks. On our way to Dyer Island, we spotted two Northern Giant Petrel, sitting on the surface. Dyer Island itself was covered in thousands of Cape Cormorants but we still managed to see some of the endangered penguins. After a visit to the Cape fur seals we scouted through some deeper waters but it has been rather quiet today and we returned back to Kleinbaai
