Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 28 October 2023:
A wet and wild day out on the bay with some stunning marine wildlife encounters, including fantastic Southern Right whales seen for each of our trips, some more active behaviour was seen on some trips with fluking and pectoral slapping amongst them. Time was also allocated to the Shallows to allow our guests the chance to catch a glimpse of the Bronze whaler sharks along with time spent around the Island system, either at the Endangered African penguins or the ever-abundant Cape fur seal.
A big thank you to all our guests who joined us today for their marine experience.

The Bronze whaler (also known as Copper sharks) here in Kleinbaai are very curious and interactive. These sharks eat mostly fish, with sardines being one of their favourites.
