Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 31 August 2026:
Another beautiful day out in the water here at Marine Dynamics has brought nothing but amazing sightings. Out in the calm deep ocean, there were sightings of the Acrobatic giants of the ocean, Humpback whales. The playful Cape fur seals were seen on Geyser Rock, with the African penguins camouflaging around the Cape cormorants on Dyer Island. Along the coastline, the bronze whaler sharks were seen in the shallows, with a Southern right whale being seen along the coast.

What species did we see today?
