Today has been a great day at sea with southern right whales and sunfish on both trips. On the first trip we encountered a mating group of southern right whales close to Danger Point on the second group we spotted two of the individuals again just behind the Birkenhead rock. We also encountered a Shy Albatross and some White-chinned Petrels and on both trips, we have been lucky to see a sunfish. As usual we also made a stop at the Cape Fur seal colony and Dyer Island.
What species did we see today?

As one of only 17 penguin species left in the world (and the only one on the african continent), the african penguin often breed in offshore colonies, such as Dyer Island.

With a local population of 60,000, it's no wonder our guests capture so many photographs of these wonderfully playful marine mammals.
