More whales in Pearly Beach! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog
Written by November 3 2021
Because of some wind picking up throughout the day we had an early morning launch into a beautiful bay. After a stop at the shark cage diving boat and seeing some bronze whaler sharks, we were continuing our tour to Pearly Beach. We had some fantastic whale sightings including a brindle calf and another one breaching a bit further off in the surf. While watching the whales we also had a juvenile penguin approaching our boat to have a closer look. At Geyser Rock, we observed the Cape fur seals before heading to Dyer Island and back to Kleinbaai harbour.

The Bronze whaler (also known as Copper sharks) here in Kleinbaai are very curious and interactive. These sharks eat mostly fish, with sardines being one of their favourites.
