Southern right whales! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog

And the great sightings in our bay continue. On both trips we had amazing whale sightings in the Pearly Beach area, plenty of females and their calves all around our vessel. We even got to see a fluke and a breaching calve on the second tour of the day. The breeding season of the Cape Fur seals is also in full swing and we see many big males at the island. At Dyer Island we saw a couple of penguins and thousands of Cape Cormorants.
What species did we see today?
