Southern right whales! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog
Written by November 5 2021
The day started overcast but the sun was able to break through the clouds quite quickly. On all three trips we were able to make a stop at the shark cage diving boats, where we got to see many bronze whaler sharks. Throughout the day we’ve also been fortunate to see a couple of southern right whale mothers with their calves in the Pearly Beach area. On Geyser Rock were plenty of Cape Fur seals with a couple of big bulls inbetween and after our usual stop closer to Dyer Island we cruised through the bay towards Kleinbaai harbour.

With a local population of 60,000, it's no wonder our guests capture so many photographs of these wonderfully playful marine mammals.
