Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 14 July 2023:
What a day we had out at sea today. Very lucky with our weather conditions, we got to enjoy some calm waters, with almost no wind and very warm air. The first trip was lucky to encounter a Southern Right whale almost straight away and then we saw some humpback whales as well! We made our way to the island system and saw multiple African penguins on Dyer Island and thousands of Cape Fur seals, some resting on land and others playing in the water. For the second trip our luck was mainly focused on Humpback whales we had three different sightings, and even got to see a mother and a calf pair!
