Whales close up! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog
Written by November 14 2020
After our launch from Kleinbaai harbour we were heading along the coast towards Pearly Beach, where we were lucky to find a friendly pair of Southern Right whales. The calf approached us but its mother was always close by to keep an eye out for her young. After having spend some time with the majestic whales we were heading straight to Shark Alley to watch the Cape Fur seals. Most of them were very playful, jumping high out of the water while other were just being lazy. Our last stop before heading home into the south-west wind was closer to Dyer Island where we got to see some African penguins gathered close to the water.
What species did we see today?
