Whales, whales, whales! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog
Written by October 21 2021

Today we started early and were heading out as the sun was rising. Throughout the day we had beautiful weather and calm seas with fantastic sightings of whales, seals, sharks, penguins and even some dolphins on the second tour. The whales were very relaxed alongside our vessel and most took a closer look at us and approached our vessel as we were drifting in neutral. Watching the Cape fur seals is always great fun and we could also clearly see the penguins on Dyer Island as they were posing on the rocks.

With a local population of 60,000, it's no wonder our guests capture so many photographs of these wonderfully playful marine mammals.
Bronze Whaler Shark Bronze Whaler Shark
The Bronze whaler (also known as Copper sharks) here in Kleinbaai are very curious and interactive. These sharks eat mostly fish, with sardines being one of their favourites.
