Great White Shark! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog
Written by May 18 2021
Shortly after leaving the harbour, we spotted a Bryde’s whale close by. After having spent some time with the whale we continued straight to the shallows where we heard off a Great white shark from our sister company, who offer the shark cage diving. Arrived in this area we have been lucky to have an absolutely incredible encounter with the shark, coming close to our vessel to investigate while we were drifting along. Further along the way we spotted two African penguins on Dyer Island and plenty of Cape Fur seals on Geyser Rock. Towards the end of our tour, we had another encounter with the Bryde’s whale surfacing a few times before disappearing into the deep. What a fabulous trip.
What species did we see today?
