Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 02 September 2024:
What a beautiful day out at sea today. Welcoming all our guests aboard we headed into beautiful sunny trips. Leaving Kleinbaai Harbour behind us, we headed towards coastal areas and into the Shallows. Stopping by the local Shark cage diving vessel we were super excited to see some active Bronze whaler sharks even coming closer to investigate our boat. Continuing our trip through the local kelp forest we were on the lookout for some whales in Pearly Beach. Close to shore we encountered a few Southern Right whales. These sightings left both our guests and crew in awe! Once it was time to let them be we headed towards the island system where thousands of Cape fur seals were occupying Geyser Rock and cooling down in the cold waters of Shark Alley. A short ride later we reached Dyer Island where the endangered African Penguins were enjoying the warm weather on top of the island.
