Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 03 August 2024:
We had a beautiful day here in Kleinbaai, with no wind and plenty of sunshine. After a cruise along the coast and past the shark cage diving boats, we spotted some spouts close to Pearly Beach and were lucky to encounter some Southern right whales. The whales were relaxed alongside our vessel and we could get some nice looks at them. We also passed Dyer Island and Geyser Rock and witnessed plenty of Cape fur seals swimming in the famous Shark Alley. Some of us have also been lucky to spot some penguins at sea, what a beautiful day!
