Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 03 May

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 03 May 2026:

We had a great morning out at sea! Our trip started at Danger Point and then through deeper waters before we reached the Cape fur seal colony. At Dyer Island, we managed to spot one of the critically endangered African Penguins right at the top. After we crossed a reef, we encountered two of our well-known humpback dolphins before we saw a Bronze Whaler shark. Our trip ended back in Kleinbaai and with another penguin at sea.
