Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 05 September

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 05 September 2024:

We left Kleinbaai harbour just past lunchtime and set sail along the coast past Uilenkralsmond and towards the shark cage diving boats. While looking closely at the operation we were lucky to see some Bronze Whaler sharks and gulls. Next, our journey led us towards a reef and into the bay of Pearly Beach where we found spouts and two southern right whales. We watched them for a while before visiting the Dyer Island area and Geyser Rock with the Cape fur seal colony.
