Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 08 September 2025:
Although it was overcast and a little windy, we had a great day at sea! This morning started with a beautiful sunrise and some southern right whales in Pearly Beach. All trips were lucky to see some of these gentle giants in the coastal waters of Pearly Beach. We also paid a visit to the waters around Dyer Island, which is getting busier by the day with the Cape Cormorants getting ready for their breeding season. In between all the cormorants, we spotted some African Penguins too. Geyser Rock is a busy place as usual, with plenty of Cape fur seals to observe on the rock or nearby waters. Our second trip was also able to pass one of the shark cage diving boats to see the Bronze Whaler sharks.
