Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 09 April 2024:
After some stormy weather over the weekend, we could finally head back out to sea and greet our guests back aboard Dream Catcher. After our launch from Kleinbaai, we slowly headed down the coastline towards Uilenkraalsmond and stopped a bit further at the Shark cage diving boats. It was exciting to see the Bronze Whaler shark up close. As usual, we continued our journey to the deeper areas where we came across some endangered African Penguins, several pelagic birds as well as a pod of Common dolphins surfing alongside the boat! Next was another highlight of the tour, thousands of Cape fur seals on Geyser Rock. And last but not least to complete the Marine Big 5 we encountered a Bryde’s whale pair! Once again, thanks everyone for joining our Marine Big 5 tours.
