Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 09 February

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 09 February 2025:

We had a great Sunday at sea with plenty of sunshine but some swell coming through. Once we left Kleinbaai harbour mid-morning we started our journey past the estuary and along the coast towards the shark cage diving boats to see some of the Bronze Whaler sharks found in our bay. After seeing the penguins and Cape fur seals we headed back around Dyer Island and into deeper waters. Once again we got lucky on the deeper water of the bay and saw a Bryde’s whale.
