Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 11 November

Today we had another day with good whale sightings in Pearly Beach followed by Cape fur seals at Geyser Rock and African penguins at Dyer Island. On both trips we were heading to Pearly Beach where we found a couple of southern right whales. During the day the wind was picking up as well as the playfulness of some southern right whale calves and we got lucky to see some breaches in the afternoon.

The Bronze whaler (also known as Copper sharks) here in Kleinbaai are very curious and interactive. These sharks eat mostly fish, with sardines being one of their favourites.
