Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 13 March

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 13 March 2023:

Today we had two trips launching from Kleinbaai harbour. Both were filled with a variety of marine life including some pelagic seabirds, whale, and more. Out in the deeper waters and off Danger Point we had sightings of Bryde’s whales as well as a lot of different birds. At the islands we had a great time watching all the Cape fur seals, the pups from last year were curious and swimming alongside our boat. We also spotted the endangered African Penguin on Dyer Island. Back in the shallow waters, we passed the shark cage diving boat to see the Bronze whaler shark.
