Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 17 October
Written by October 17 2023
Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 17 October 2023:
We could not have asked for a more beautiful day out on sea, the sun was shining and the conditions were perfect with a low swell and wind. Even though the wind did pick up a bit throughout the day, we still had a stunning day out at sea with some incredible wildlife we are so lucky to find in our area. All our tours were fortunate to find some Southern Right whales and we had some amazing views from our vessel. For all the tours of the day we visited the world-famous Shark Alley and enjoyed some Cape Fur seals, some of them were resting on Geyser Rock but quite a few went for a dip on a hot day and we watched them as they played in the water. We also popped by Dyer Island and spotted some African Penguins, and of course not to forget about the sharks – we joined Marine Dynamics to enjoy the Bronze Whaler sharks.
Thanks to all who joined our trips today, we really hope you enjoyed your day with us.
