Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 19 June 2024:
We are back out at sea! After we were not able to operate any trips due to the weather conditions yesterday we are excited today to see what we might encounter! We got a full day packed with possible sightings and to say the least, we did not get disappointed! We welcomed our guests on either Whale Whisperer or Dream Catcher. Thought out the day we saw numerous penguins at sea as well as other seabirds, including Cape Gannet, various terns and even an Albatross on the third tour. All trips had great sightings of whales and dolphins but they slightly differed on the three trips with the first one being lucky to see some dolphins and the second one to see three species of whales. On all trip we passed the shark cage diving vessels and could get some great looks at the Bronze Whaler shark. Geyser Rock was another highlight, seeing thousands of Cape fur seal is definitely something most of us don’t see.
