Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 19 October 2023:
It has been another windy day in the bay. Luckily for us, the sun was shining and we were all excited to be out at sea to enjoy the diverse wildlife we encountered in the bay. Shortly after we launched we spotted some Southern Right Whales, and needless to say, these majestic creatures are the stars of our tours this time of the year. All tours of today were lucky to enjoy their gentle beauty. As we ventured further down the coast we popped by Marine Dynamics, our sister company shark cage diving operator, and witnessed some stunning activity of Bronze Whaler sharks by the cage. We didn’t skip our visits to the Island system where we watched very active and agile Cape Fur seals splashing in the water and also spotted some large bulls on Geyser Rock that already arrived for the mating season. African penguins on Dyer Island were the cherry on top for all our trips today!
