Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 21 September 2024:
We had another windy day in Kleinbaai filled with great sightings of Southern Right whales. It is a perfect time to see these beautiful whales along our southern Cape coastline. Two of our tours were leaving as usual from Kleinbaai and the second tour was heading out of Gansbaai due to low spring tide. Most of the trips started with sightings of southern right whales along the coast, where we found several mothers and their young. We were able to stop by the shark cage diving vessels to see the Bronze Whaler shark. At Dyer Island, we saw some penguins through our binoculars and watched the Cape fur seals in Shark Alley and Geyser Rock.
