Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 25 October 2023:
What a stunning day out in the bay, with the sea brimming with wildlife, including some spectacular sightings of the Southern Right whales. On each of our trips, we were lucky enough to encounter these magnificent giants showing some superb surface activity as they cruised through the bay with some of our trips lucky enough to see such activity as spy-hopping and breaching. On the first two trips of the day we were lucky to encounter some of the Endangered Indian Ocean Humpback dolphins. The trips also spent time around the islands viewing the Cape fur seals as they relaxed on Geyser Rock and spotted the African penguin on Dyer Island or in the surrounding waters, along with visits to the Shallow to catch glimpses of the Bronze whaler shark.
