Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 29 August 2025:
Another sunny day here at Kleinbaai! The day was filled with various sightings on the two trips. On our first tour of the day, we spotted a curious humpback whale behind the island, and on our second trip, we saw a playful southern right whale calf not far from the harbour. During the trips, we also cruised past the shallows and stopped at the shark cage diving boat to see the Bronze Whaler shark. While cruising through the bay, some penguins were spotted close to the coast, and more were seen on the second trip on Dyer Island. Many of the Cape fur seals were also enjoying the sunny weather and were swimming to cool off in the famous Shark Alley.

What species did we see today?
