Sunday sightings! Marine Big 5 daily blog
Written by October 25 2020
Todays morning started off with a light drizzle, but luckily cleared up by the time we were launching from Kleinbaai harbour. We made our way along the coast and past Uilenkraalmond to Pearly Beach. Kira, our wildlife spotter, quickly saw some whales close to shore. The mother and her calf were travelling along side our vessel and even made a closer pass so we could get some great looks at these gentle giants. Before heading off we saw another pair in the middle off the bay. Shark Alley was full with playful Cape Fur seals, jumping out of the water and following the boat. After a turn around the one side of Dyer Island we were heading back to the mainland.
