Sunny Monday! Marine Big 5 Daily Blog

Today we launched this morning from Gansbaai harbour due to spring tide. Off Danger Point we encountered a southern right whale that turned out to be super curious and had a closer look at our boat while we were drifting in neutral. On our way to the coastline and Pearly Beach where we found more southern right whales, we stopped closer to Dyer Island and Geyser Rock. On our second tour we were slowly heading along the coast and past the shark cage diving boats where we had a brief look at a Bronze whaler shark. Arrived in Pearly Beach we have been lucky to find some southern right whales again who were travelling slowly next to our vessel. On our way back we also made a stop to see the Cape Fur seals on Geyser Rock and penguins on Dyer Island.
What species did we see today?
