Calypso, a ride to remember! Eco tour 1st February 2020
Fun Cruise with Pete and Lynn
Written by Dickie Chivell, February 5 2020
Had a chat with the lovely guests, Pete and Lynn before we set off and set forth a plan of action. We headed straight out to Dyer Island on our smaller whale watching vessel Calypso, before the wind picked up to find some cool birds behind the Island. We saw Suity Shearwaters and Cape Gannets diving up to 10 m deep for food and a little juvenile African penguin looking for some fish in the deeper water. After spending time with cape fur seals in shark alley and cruising past a few Giant petrels next to dyer Island we set off to the shark diving vessels for some bronze whaler action, ending off the tour with fun filled speedy ride in the shallow water next to the beach! Thanks for coming guys, it was a pleasure having you!
