Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 10 November 2022:
A wild and windy day out on the bay as we launched our one and only trip for the day this morning. We had not gone far when we had our first marine wildlife encounter, and what a sensational one it was, a southern right whale mother-calf pair. Once we had spent some time with the whales we continued our trip with a visit to our sister company Marine Dynamics, to view the Bronze Whaler shark. To finish off our morning on the sea we visited the islands, enjoying the view of the Cape fur seals and seabirds, including the African Penguin on Dyer Island.

The Bronze whaler (also known as Copper sharks) here in Kleinbaai are very curious and interactive. These sharks eat mostly fish, with sardines being one of their favourites.
