Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 22 April 2022:
We had a beautiful day out at sea today with some sightings of our beautiful Bronze Whaler shark around the shark cage diving boats at the beginning of our trip. After not being able to see them for a few days, we were happy to see that they are making an appearance in the bay. After looking around in deeper waters, we headed towards Geyser Rock to spot some Cape Fur Seals after which we made our way to Dyer Island to see the endangered African Penguin.

One of the most famous species of Cormorant in the Western Cape, the Cape Cormorant is well known for it's beautiful turquoise eye and impressive size.

With a local population of 60,000, it's no wonder our guests capture so many photographs of these wonderfully playful marine mammals.

The Bronze whaler (also known as Copper sharks) here in Kleinbaai are very curious and interactive. These sharks eat mostly fish, with sardines being one of their favourites.
