Daily Trip Update, 10 November 2019

A wonderful day out at sea! After a few days not being able to go out, the crew were just as excited to get back out on the water as our guests. Both our trips started off with seeing the beautiful Bronze Whaler Shark at the shark cage diving boats, after which we went on to go find our whales. Our last stop was at Geyser Rock where we had a show from our seal colony, these animals are always a delight to watch. Some of them swimming and cooling down while others just lazing on the rocks. We had an awesome day at sea and were lucky to have had sightings of 2 different pairs of Southern Right Whale mom and calves over the course of the day.
What species did we see today?
Bank Cormorant Bank Cormorant
Often enjoying a broad diet including klipfish, rock lobster and more, the increasing rarety of the Bank Cormorant makes every moment we see them even more special.

The Bronze whaler (also known as Copper sharks) here in Kleinbaai are very curious and interactive. These sharks eat mostly fish, with sardines being one of their favourites.
