Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 03 January 2023:
Some fantastic conditions greeted us today in the bay with the east/south-easterly winds finally lessening as did the swell. We launched three times today with our trips experiencing a range of wildlife encounters. All three of our trips were lucky enough to see the Bronze whaler sharks around the shark cage diving vessels in the Shallows, the Cape fur seals of Geyser Rock along with others in the deeper waters, and the Endangered African penguins on Dyer Island. The first and second trips struck lucky with whale sightings as we spotted Bryde’s whales on each of these trips, the second trip also had a close encounter with two African penguins. On the third trip found a sunfish as we made our way through the deeper waters just outside our bay. A lovely day on the sea, a big thank you to all our guests that joined us today.

Well documented for their aireal displays, experiences with with the famous Cape Gannet are always breath taking, and hold a special place in every photographers portfolio.
