Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 09 October 2023:
Today was a rather windy day at sea but we had some nice sightings of the southern right whales in the bay and other marine wildlife. Not too far from Kleinbaai harbour we spotted the first blows and had some fantastic sightings of Southern right whales throughout the day, we are so lucky to have these gentle giants in our coastal waters. We also passed the shark cage diving boats and were happy to see some beautiful Bronze whaler sharks. After a windy ride to the islands, we were able to watch thousands of Cape Fur seals around their colony Geyser Rock, and also spot some of the endangered African Penguins on and around Dyer Island throughout the day.
A big thank you to all our guests who joined us for these marine experiences today!
