Marine Big 5 Daily Blog 11 March

Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.

Trip Summary 11 March 2025:

Today we had quite some wind at sea but a great time on the water. Just outside Kleinbaai, we spotted the humpback dolphins very close to shore and saw some penguins a little further. We were lucky to see a couple of Bronze Whaler sharks at the shark cage diving boat. Once arrived at Dyer Island, we had a good look at the penguins’ home and visited the nearby Cape fur seal colony. The deeper waters were quiet but at Danger Point we briefly saw a Bryde’s whale.
