Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 12 November 2023:
A new sunny day filled with some amazing sightings is ahead of us. Leaving Kleinbaai Harbour behind us we haven’t had to wait for long before the first Southern Right whales showed up. Of course, they did not disappoint and definitely left an impression on our guests. After some amazing views of the Southern Right whales, we moved on to the Shark cage diving vessels where we got to encounter some beautiful and very active Bronze whaler sharks. That was of course not it. Next up, Geyser Rock and Dyer Island. Sneaky Cape fur seals were circling the boat and cooling down in the water while others sunbathed on the island. Before heading back to Kleinbaai Harbour we made a short stop in front of Dyer Island to pay the endangered African Penguin a visit.
