Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 14 June 2024:
Today was a day of breathtaking encounters as we set sail from Kleinbaai on a whale watching tour. The morning air was crisp as we departed, our excitement palpable. Our journey led us to sightings of Bryde’s whales on one of the trips and the majestic Humpback whales on the others, their presence leaving us in awe. Near Slashfin, the shark cage diving vessel, we were treated to glimpses of Bronze Whaler sharks, a reminder of the ocean’s diversity. We found thousands of Cape fur seals on Geyser Rock as always and marveled at the African penguins on Dyer Island. As the day draws to a close, we carry with us memories of nature’s beauty and the wonders of the ocean. Until tomorrow’s adventure awaits, may the sea continue to inspire and amaze.
