Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 02 November 2022:
Today, we still had some wind blowing from the southeast and mostly overcast skies. Both tours today started with a close-up look at Dyer Island and the penguins as well as other seabirds that can be seen there. On the first tour, we spotted a whale as we were about to head around Dyer Island towards Shark Alley and on the second tour, we found a mother and her calf in the Pearly Beach area. In Shark Alley, we had some great looks at the seal swimming close to the boat as the water visibility was great. And our last stop on both trips was to see the sharks at Slashfin.
