Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 20 October 2022:
We had a beautiful day out at sea today that brought us some amazing sightings throughout the day. With 4 of the marine big 5 having been spotted on both of our trips today, we caught some breathtaking views of multiple Southern Right whale cow-calf pairs in the bay. The bronze whaler sharks gave us incredible sightings around the shark cage diving boats and the Cape fur seals were as entertaining as always around and on Geyser Rock. We also managed to see a few African Penguins on Dyer Island basking in the sun.

As one of only 17 penguin species left in the world (and the only one on the african continent), the african penguin often breed in offshore colonies, such as Dyer Island.

With a local population of 60,000, it's no wonder our guests capture so many photographs of these wonderfully playful marine mammals.
