Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 22 March 2022:
Today was overcast with a cold wind from the southeast. At Slashfin we have been fortunate to see the bronze whaler sharks just below the surface and passing in front of the cage. Further out in deeper waters we spotted some diving terns, Sooty Shearwaters, White-chinned Petrel and Cape Gannets. Geyser Rock was filled with plenty of Cape Fur seals and on Dyer Island, we spotted a couple of endangered African Penguins other seabirds.
