Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa – Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 27 October 2026:
Throughout the day, we encountered 4 of the Marine Big 5. Whales, dolphins, sharks, penguins and seals. Southern Right whales were spotted in Pearly Beach, where some whales decided to approach closely, and some even breached through the bay. Bronze whaler sharks were seen around the local Shark cage diving boats. Cape fur seals were encountered, as always, on Geyser Rock and Shark Alley. The critically endangered African Penguins were seen on Dyer Island.
