Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 31 March 2023:
We had a stunning day at sea with the marine Big 5. Passed Uilenkraalsmod we spotted the humpback dolphins and further on some Bronze whaler sharks at the shark cage diving boats. Out in the deeper waters of the bay, we spotted two Bryde’s whales and a lot of various seabirds, including the Cape Gannet, Sooty Shearwater, and Cape Cormorant. Arrived at Dyer Island we saw some endangered African Penguin and then continued to see the Cape fur seals on Geyser Rock. What a great trip!
