Whale Watching near Cape Town, South Africa Welcome to Gansbaai, home of the Marine Big 5.
Trip Summary 02 October 2023:
Today was a sunny and calm day in our bay with once again plenty of southern right whales around. We had several tours launching from Kleinbaai Harbour and were lucky to see the marine life at its best. After seeing some beautiful southern right whales, who were a little bit extra active today, we encountered some Bronze whaler sharks on most of our trips and didn’t miss a stop at the world-famous Shark Alley. Geyser Rock is now slowly filling up with the big bulls, who are only seen during the mating season. Plenty of Cape fur seals were having a swim in the water curiously checking out our vessel slowly driving past them. Last but not least we spotted the endangered African Penguin on Dyer Island.
